Sr. Node.js Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Node.js Developer to join our dynamic team and take charge of projects related to ONDC (Open Network for Digital Commerce). You will play a key role in backend development, system architecture, and leading a small team to deliver high-quality solutions aligned with ONDC standards.

Key Responsibilities

·      Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js for ONDC integrations and products.

·      Lead a small team of developers: assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely project delivery.

·      Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, QA) to define, design, and ship new features.

·      Work closely on ONDC protocols like Beckn Protocol, APIs, and specifications; ensure system compliance.

·      Mentor junior developers; perform code reviews and maintain code quality standards.

·      Own the full development lifecycle, including architecture, design, coding, testing, deployment, and monitoring.

·      Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software.

·      Stay updated with ONDC developments, best practices, and new technologies.

·      Ensure performance, security, and scalability of applications.

·      Document technical specifications and processes.

·      Communicate effectively with stakeholders to give project updates and suggest improvements.

Must-Have Skills

·      Strong experience in Node.js, Express.js, TypeScript.

·      Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, Microservices Architecture, and WebSockets.

·      Database experience: MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.

·      Knowledge of Cloud Platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure (basic deployments, serverless architecture).

·      Prior experience working with ONDC protocols or willingness to deep dive into ONDC architecture.

·      Team Management experience: managing a team of 2–5 developers.

·      Excellent understanding of Git, Agile/Scrum methodologies.

·      Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

·      Knowledge of ONDC-specific open-source tools (like Beckn Gateway, Registry).

·      Experience with NestJS, GraphQL.

·      Understanding of payment gateways, logistics APIs, and ecommerce systems.

·      Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.

·      Contribution to open-source projects or tech blogs.

Required Qualifications

·      Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

·      4–5 years of proven experience in backend development and team handling.
